Video Podcasting or Vodcasting Introductory Tutorial
Tutorial series showing an aspiring vodcaster/video podcaster how to create, publish, and promote a video column or vlog.
You may have been hearing about the revolution in video podcasting or vodcasting (Video-On-Demand casting). Vodcasting (known under a slew of names including vlogging, video podcasting, pocket cinema, and so on) is quickly shaping up to be the broadcast technology of the future.
Almost overnight, vodcasting technology is showing up everywhere. Apple’s iTunes and the coming Windows Vista incorporate native support. Portable digital video players such as the Video iPod, Sony PlayStation Portable, and Creative Labs’ Zen Vision are invigorating the market. X-Box 360 and PlayStation 3 are incorporating features to become the central media hub of the household. PDAs and cell phones are including video reception as a high-end feature.
In the next few weeks, I’ll be explaining the basics of video podcasting and how you can be a part of the revolution. Maybe you want to create a video subscription so your relatives can see all the latest video footage of your son or daughter from first steps to birthday celebrations. Maybe you want to be the next Anderson Cooper or Katie Couric. Perhaps you want a venue for your short films.
Whatever your aim, if you’re working in video or film, vodcasting will likely serve your purpose. So check in here for an introduction to this brave new world of video subscription on-demand.
