NewWorld3D is an ActiveX control that opens up a whole new world of possibilities to the Visual Basic, VBA, or other ActiveX-supporting developer by providing a real-time 3D engine for placement within any ActiveX container environment. NewWorld3D is based on a graphics engine similar to the popular Doom game engine (by ID Software).

While many of the newer 3D technologies such as Direct3D and OpenGL require 3D accelerator hardware and extremely fast processors, NewWorld3D can be effectively used on most Pentium-class machines, even portables!

NewWorld3D allows any programming environment that supports ActiveX controls to embed and access any 3D world that you create. Use Visual Basic, Microsoft Excel, Delphi, Visual C++, or even Internet Explorer to show your customers a new reality.

The NewWorld3D engine allows you to dynamically load maps, insert objects, and activate live characters that the user can interact with! User events call routines that you application can use to process subroutines or change the surrounding environment to reflect the new conditions.

Animated characters are available that will autonomously move around the environment and interact with the "driver." Because the NewWorld3D component is plugged into any ActiveX environment, other capabilities within that environment may be supported. For example, a web browser that supports MIDI or a RealAudio feed may be activated given particular events that occur within the NewWorld.

Maps of any world to be displayed is activated within NewWorld3D by pointing to the required file. Therefore, dynamic worlds may be created from nearly any data source including custom database storage.

The NewWorld3D control places the ability of designing and creating a complete world in a programmer's hands.
